Pixar Convention 2011?
Me (Post-Comment): This is a exert from a conversation I had on Twitter, and felt I should share it here. Let me know what you think of the idea once you've finished reading this! :)
Me: Someone needs to slap me. Seriously, my brain is going WAY too far with this Pixar Convention thing. hahaha
Chris: Explain. I don't think there's anything wrong with that.
Me: Me being on-stage with thousands of people in front of me? THAT'S A little far, even for me. XD
But I still think the idea of a Pixar Convention would be good. I've noticed that a lot of Pixar fans generally are too shy To even go to a place like Pixar Planet, so to have a real-life convention and advertising it, at least I think, would pull more fans out of the hole to try it out. That, any my brain has this thing planned out TO THE LETTER. LOLZ
Chris: Haha, maybe, but there's also people like me that just embrace it. Of course, I've been one of the more bold ones, but still.
Me: Well, for example, on my first TS3D viewing I ran into a obvious TS fan. I tried to communicate and she just wanted to sit. Heck, I even plugged Pixar Planet in thar. :P But she asked us to move and scurried to her seat. She had a purple TS shirt on.
Chris: Right. I engaged some guys into Pixar talk at the TSDF as well, but when I mentioned my Up count, they just stared at me,... XD
Me: Lol, well, you see my point. The way the thing's structured in my head, is that each film or series get's it's own little Booth, Where fans of a certain film can go to buy stuff or look at stuff, and talk to other fans. Than there's be an Directors Chair (Brain Trust?) Signings of Pixar books (ex Pixar touch) Animators seat, and my favorite, a Luxo JR. cafe. :D And than, it wouldn't be complete without having showings would it? Assuming the convention would last 3 days, 4 films each night. (so that includes the shorts and Pixar Story). Attenders would be able to stay and watch or return for the showings they want. and it just goes ON and ON... I should write all this stuff down, it's GOLD. XD
Chris: That sounds AMAZING. Do it, there's gotta be some way.
Me: I could.. But I godda be 18 or over and have 2000+ to spend. Maybe save it for next year, so by the time I get a convention Center, I'll be old enough... And get to see TS3 too. :D

Argument: Animation and Story Telling Of SMBZ
Phantom Sniper100: Alvin Earthworm is e-famous for his flash animated series Super Mario Bros. Z, a sprite animation series with the story of Dragon Ball Z, replacing the characters and objects of DBZ with the ones of the Mario and Sonic series. It has no original writing, audio, or images...so naturally everyone living in this crazy digital age thinks it's super awesome Basically SMBZ is a piece of crap. Super Mario Bros. Z is a compilation of Mario and Sonic sprites in a Dragonball Z setting. animu from the nineties. It would not be an overstatement to say that, in the process of animating this overhyped ball of fail, Alvin-Earthworm has expended no creative effort whatsoever. One wonders, then, why does it seem to take Mr. Earthworm so many months to complete an episode? Is it some sort of twisted scheme to get his legions of idiotic fanboys to salivate all the more with anticipation? Could it be that he realizes that, by spacing out the episodes so far, he propagates the notion that what he does is art and takes actual effort? This last statement was a one sided argument who hate sprite flashes, the creation of SMBZ isn't original by any means, but the way it ws excuted is what made this series loved by fans. Of course there are still many fan boys out there who want to throw their hat into the SMBZ world and cheapin it even more. Overall SMBZ is horrible and crappy.
ClassicTeam [Me]: Phantom, There's a thing called "Life" That clearly your not adding to this equation. Unlike many of us, Alvin has a life, which means he can't just sit in front of a computer all day for a month and finish an episode. Secondly, I don't understand your hate towards the sprite series. You don't give any valid arguments as to why it's bad animation, other than the story is unoriginal, which has nothing to do with animation. I can give that the story is simply retold, but not that it's crappy. Even if the overall story arc is retold, this 'show' is what reinvented sprite-animation, weather you like it or not. Many people used to think that the Sprite medium was lack-luster in potential, due to the limits of using them and the overall feel of sloppy work it leaves. This 'Show' Proved that, even with these limitations, you can still tell a good, entertaining story. I'm not saying it's an original story, just that it's being retold in the Mario and Sonic universe. As an argument towards unoriginality, a lot of the characters seen in this same episode are completely created by Alvin Earthworm. "Fire Sonic" and "Basilisx" Are two I can name. Even though they are not completely original sprites, they still required effort of Alvin's part. There's also a purpose in not using original audio; to keep the atmosphere close to Video Games so that the music doesn't feel odd having in a scene. So in the end, Super Mario Brothers Z Should not be treated as a Box-office film with a 300 million budget. These are made freely by Alvin, and he doesn't have an obligation to give them to us. So, rather than TROLL his videos, I suggest thanking him for his contribution to Flash animation and than leaving him be. But, thanks for the constructive criticism, not very many people do that. Now it's for everyone else to decide which side of the argument they prefer most.
Phantom Sniper100: Constructive criticism? It sprite for crying out loud. Its the worst kind of animation.
weezul60: You've GOT to be kidding me. I can't believe that you're bashing so hard on this series. First of all: you're commenting on the eighth episode of the series, probably meaning that you've been watching everything up until now, so you must've enjoyed the series. Second of all: the way you insult the animation and the story doesn't make sense. Does a series have to have top notch animation to still have quality? If anything, the animation is a tribute to the old video games rather than a lack of effort on Alvin Earthworm's part. Now to talk about the plot: Think about it, it's completely original because it uses all of the storylines of the others put together. You think it's UNoriginal for this reason, but putting them all together makes the story extremely interesting to the viewer. Also, the fact that the viewer can relate to everything in the series makes it more enjoyable as well. Continued above. Lastly, like ClassicalTeam said before, Alvin Earthworm doesn't HAVE to do anything for us. He does this completely of his own will. He's not some huge NBC/CBS/FOX TV show that can guarantee a new episode every week because that's not his JOB. He does this completely of his own free will and his own free time. You're entitled to your own opinion, but I find the language you use to present your argument is a little disrespectful for someone who spent so much time and effort on this series.
ClassicTeam [Me]: Hello anyone reading out there on Tumblr, please let me know what you think on the subject! It is certainly a interesting argument that I wouldn't mind getting some support in. ;)
