I just realized I never put this online anywhere. This is a little Knuckles comic I did for a zine that some friends of mine put together for SPX last year. It’s nothing like the last Sonic comics I did. Fewer jokes, and just generally more of a cute little Knuckles moment. But I hope you like it anyway~
IT’S HERE UGH IT’S SO BEAUTIFUL. Pictured are the front and back (with Classic and Modern how nice!), and the inside front and back cover artwork. Flipping through quickly before posting these, this book has EVERYTHING, and I’m really looking forward to reading through it. It does a little bit about the history of creative development of the series over time, highlighting individual games in those development periods, and then it does a timeline where each game is summarized and all the things that make each game special are pointed out, then there’s a big character section at the end, where each character has their own summary and official artwork section. All the characters get at least two pages, but characters like Shadow and Amy get 4, Knux, Tails, and Eggman get 6, and Sonic gets a ton (of course!). There’s also a ton of artwork, both concept sketches and developmental stuff, included that can’t be found anywhere else (unless you’ve delved deep into Retro’s archives).
It’s a beautiful book, and, at first glance, is worth far more than the $31 you’d spend on it at Amazon, so DO CHECK IT OUT!
Reblogging here for people too. I’ve finished reading it, and there are definitely some factual mistakes here and there (like, for example, the book saying that Eggman once helped Sonic and friends get to Space Colony ARK in Sonic Adventure), and I wouldn’t agree with some of of its character summaries, but it’s a wonderful book nonetheless. You’ll learn a lot of cool stuff, especially about the development process for the earlier games, and how the idea of Sonic was born in the first place. Highly recommended for its price.
The age old question of “Why does Sonic need a car?” is finally answered. In five ways to boot. (Pun unintentional).

Even though HookedOnSonic2 did a decent job of taking those poorly translated messes and fixing them up (I would know, We were both fixing up the translations in the beginning), there’s still a few grammar mistakes I would have fixed up. The wording here is awkward. Good scene though.
