A DVD titled “Adventures in the Crystal Empire” is up for preorder on Amazon for $10.48, slated for release on December 4, 2012. The page claims the DVD runs for 120 minutes, or two hours, which means it may include roughly four or five episodes. Episode names are not listed, although the season three premiere/Crystal Empire special will no doubt be a part of it.
SEASON 3!?!?!?
Whoops! Should have posted this with the last DVD. The first season of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is finally coming to DVD! It is an Amazon exclusive which likely means it won’t be sold in stores. It is up for preorder for $24.49 and also slated for a release date of December 4, 2012.
I know many fans were pushing for full season DVD sets and it looks like we’re getting them!

Embedded above is another debut song from season three starring all of the ponies. The song is about the Crystal Fair and the Mane 6’s quest to save the crystal ponies. Princess Cadance is also given a mention so it looks like we will be seeing a return from her, hooray! It’s nice to know she won’t fade into obscurity.
The Crystal Empire line of toys that have been mentioned a few times around here now seem to have a connection to the show.
Pixelated Geek has also uploaded a higher quality video of the “Failure/Success Song” shown in the last post. You can check that out here.
