More SDCC News - Two S3 teaser trailers + FiM comics

Embedded above is another debut song from season three starring all of the ponies. The song is about the Crystal Fair and the Mane 6’s quest to save the crystal ponies. Princess Cadance is also given a mention so it looks like we will be seeing a return from her, hooray! It’s nice to know she won’t fade into obscurity.

The Crystal Empire line of toys that have been mentioned a few times around here now seem to have a connection to the show.

Pixelated Geek has also uploaded a higher quality video of the “Failure/Success Song” shown in the last post. You can check that out here.

In other news, IDW Publishing and Hasbro have announced their upcoming partnership in releasing a line of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic comics, slated to begin in November of this year. The comics will be written by Katie Cook and illustrated by Andy Price.

More information on the comics from Pixelated Geek:

According to the press release by Hasbro and IDW, “fans of the animated series will be excited to hear that the comics will stay true to its moral foundation, while providing themes and subject matter that older audiences can also appreciate.” The comics will follow brand new story lines and lessons on friendship.

This is Freedom Planet, an indie Action-Platformer based on platformers of the 16-Bit era. A demo of it comes out on August 6th. If their Facebook page gets 1,000 likes, they’ll add another player to the demo.

Although the Demo comes out very soon, the Developer states the game might not be ready until 2014. Still, as their second game in the Indie scene (The first they are looking into making money from), I think we should give them a little bit of attention and help where needed. :)

Reblogging to signal boost this! A New video of the game came out with the new character in it.

If you haven’t heard the news, a short Sonic fan film is going to be released this summer by Blue Core Studios. You can learn more about it here and here. The film will be 10-20 minutes long, and will focus on the first three Genesis games and the origins of the conflict between Sonic and Dr. Robotnik.

Above is the third official trailer. While it’s still obviously in the works, check out that robot animation!

Rayman Legends For Wii U Leaked

According to French website Gamkult, Ubisoft has since confirmed that the game will be coming out for Wii U, it’s still unknown if it will be coming to any other console. The trailer shows Wii U unique functions such as NFC (near field communication) and some gameplay functions using the touch screen.

Ubisoft has since said that the demo was intended for purely internal purposes and that the final product is still far from being released. Take this trailer at current face value, but the neat features sure do make the game look promising.

Mega Man X - Created by Olan Rogers

Creator’s Note: “The beginning part of the video is a message Dr.Light records over 100 years ago, his lab is now abandoned. As the camera moves into the capsule you see a still running testing parameter where Mega Man X fights a hologram or drone in the form of Protoman. The reason I chose to use Protoman, was for the mystery surrounding him it’s never officially said what happens to him. So after this test ends with a charged blast from X he faces a choice to kill but he chooses to show mercy, After which a hologram appears telling him that his testing is done. What isn’t seen is who brought him out of the capsule which of course is Dr.Cain, maybe for another time.
